LOCH LOMOND CROSS COUNTRY HIRE

PLEASE NOTE THAT LOCH LOMOND CROSS COUNTRY HIRE IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS WITH THEIR OWN HORSES.

We are also pleased to offer Cross Country Hire to those with their own horse. Our large space is perfectly suited to cross country riding and offers a variety of fences for you to practice either for the eventing season, training or just for fun.

Our fences suit all levels of horse and rider and range in size from 15cm to 100cm with options including steps, logs, ski jumps, corners, skinnies, tyres, barrels, ditches and many more – please refer to the cross country section within the “Gallery” tab.

COACHES AND INSTRUCTORS

Our cross country schooling field is perfect for cross country training sessions and enables instructors to supervise riders at all times.

Coaches and instructors are welcome to teach within industry guidelines.

LOCATION

Based at the Southern end of Loch Lomond (Balloch), we are easily accessed from Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Stirlingshire and Argyll & Bute. Please see our “Location” tab for directions.

COURSE HIRE

Hourly time slots are available for hire of the Cross Country Facility.

To ensure you maximise your Cross Country experience it is advisable that all riders arrive approximately 20 minutes in advance, in order to arrange for all disclaimers to be signed/handed in, tack up and to enjoy the 10 minute gentle hack over to the cross country course from the parking area.

The course can be hired throughout the day from early morning until evening. Although we endeavour to cater for most requests the course opening hours will vary dependant on the time of the year.

TARIFFS

Cross Country Hire Prices:

1 hour course hire: £25.00 per person (age 6 years and over only)

Payment must be made in advance.

All riders (or accompanying adult where rider is under the age of 18 years) are required to read, understand and complete the cross country hire disclaimer / terms of conditions form (pdf) or (doc) prior to accessing the course. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Bookings can be cancelled and refunded provided they are cancelled out-with 48hrs of your booking.  Unfortunately any cross country course hire cancelled within 48hrs of the start time cannot be refunded.

CROSS COUNTRY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Although we like to provide a relaxed friendly feel at Loch Lomond Cross Country your safety is paramount and as such we require all riders and accompanying guests to be fully aware of the Terms and Conditions of the Cross Country Facility.

Horse Riding/Cross Country Jumping is a high risk sport and handling horses can be potentially dangerous.  Whilst we take great care to ensure that the course/jumps offered are maintained to a high level, all participants must have a clear understanding that they RIDE ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK.

All riders / clubs must have their own personal and public liability insurance. Trainers / coaches should have their own appropriate insurance and act within the industry guidelines.

Disclaimer Declaration Form Prior to hiring the Cross Country Course please download, print and complete the Loch Lomond Cross Country Disclaimer / Terms of Conditions form (pdf) or (doc) and bring it with you on the day of the course hire.  Copies can be made available for completion should you be unable to complete this form in advance.
